This Privacy Policy explains how PinPointr (pinpointr.io), a daily geography guessing game, handles information when you use the website.
Game progress saved on your device
PinPointr uses your browser's local storage to remember guesses, completed puzzles, statistics, and win streaks. This information is stored in your browser rather than in a PinPointr player account. You can remove it by clearing this site's stored browser data; doing so may reset your game progress.
Hosting and technical data
PinPointr is hosted using Cloudflare. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, requests, and security-related data to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for more information. Website analytics, when enabled through hosting or analytics tools, may also provide aggregated usage information.
Optional Google Analytics
PinPointr uses Google Analytics 4 in regions where consent is not required, and only with your permission in regions where consent is required, to measure visitors, traffic sources, browser/device characteristics, page views and gameplay actions such as puzzle starts, guesses, completions, sharing, Archive use and Friends features. Puzzle dates, modes and aggregate guess counts may be included. PinPointr does not intentionally send usernames, email addresses or country-guess text to Analytics. Google may use cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits. Where prior consent is required (including the EEA, UK and Switzerland), Analytics stays off until you select “Allow analytics.” In other regions, Analytics may start automatically unless you opt out using the controls below. If location cannot be determined, Analytics stays off until you opt in. Declining does not prevent gameplay. Analytics may involve transfer or processing of information by Google. Google AdSense and advertising
PinPointr has included a Google AdSense script for site verification and possible future advertising. Google or its partners may use cookies, identifiers, or similar technologies in connection with ad services, including to measure and, when permitted, personalize advertising. Visible ads are not necessarily enabled just because the verification script is installed.

Cookies and your choices
You can manage or remove cookies and site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data may delete saved PinPointr progress. Where applicable, additional consent options for advertising or other optional technologies may be offered. Browser settings alone may not cover every privacy choice available to you.
Sharing and external services
PinPointr does not require you to create a user account to play. The game's Copy Result feature copies your results to your clipboard; you decide whether and where to share them. Third-party services used to host, secure, measure, or advertise the site may process data according to their own policies.
Children
PinPointr is a general-audience geography game and is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with the site operator, please contact the operator so the concern can be reviewed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PinPointr's features, service providers, or advertising practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
